…And Why That’s Better for You
When I owned a security gate company and a customer asked “what’s your hourly rate”, the answer was easy. Now that I own a bookkeeping business, the answer is different. “I don’t charge an hourly rate.” Its not what some people want to hear, but not charging by the hour allows me to have stronger relationships with clients and deliver a higher quality of service.
The Pressure Is Removed
My clients come to me first when something changes with their business that requires an update in their accounting software, rather than spending (or potentially wasting) time trying to do it themselves.
You Don’t Pay Extra for Growth
My clients are not penalized for “having a good month” or making changes to their business. If you have a busy month, reconcile your inventory, or hire employees – the price is the same.
You Don’t Pay Extra for Technical Issues
My ongoing pricing includes troubleshooting accounting and payroll software. My clients pay me to manage their books and sitting on hold with tech support is part of my job.
My Goal: To Remove a Task from Your Plate
Clients comet to me feeling behind, unsure, overwhelmed, and maybe a little embarrassed about their books. I’m not here to judge – I’m here to help and alleviate stress.
The Bottom Line
If you are looking for a low hourly rate, I may not be the best fit. If you are looking for
- clean books
- reliable reports
- one less thing to do
that is what Lifestyle Bookkeeping is all about.
